Zusammenfassung: | A genuine cellular spherical composite which is a syntactic foam with cellular spheres is presented. Numerical and experimental investigations show the high lightweight potential of the cellular spherical composite in the elastic range in comparison with a conventional cellular solid with equal weight. A modified Voigt‐Reuss mixing rule is proposed to describe the elastic behaviour of the composite under compression load. |
