Zusammenfassung:In this study, the in vitro fasciolicidal efficacy of Artemisia ludoviciana extract (ALE) was assessed. Based on the results obtained from the genotoxicity and subchronic toxicity tests of the A. ludoviciana extract in CD-1 mice, it is concluded that the extract is not toxic at concentrations lower than 1,000 mg/kg. [Display omitted] •The extract of A.ludovicianamexicana, showed good efficacy against newly excysted Fasciola hepatica, in vitro.•The acute toxicity tests of the extract in CD-1 mice, it was determined that the LD50 is 3750 mg/kg.•The sub-chronic toxicity test or repeated doses it was shown that there is no damage on rodents.
