Contribution to innovation of port logistics by simulation technique for automated container terminal

Report covers working of cargo handling and transferring equipment in automated terminals and an equipment run management simulator (characteristics, system constitution, and input-output data). An efficient working mode of cargo handling and transferring equipment has been designed including a real time storage program, zone management, and search for optimum routes of automated guided vehicles. The equipment management simulator is a core of automated container terminals. It is characterized by being able to make response to cargo handling schedule of actual operation and to visually confirm equipment operation, easy to add, change and cancel management functions, and possible to use actual machine soft.
