Zusammenfassung:It has long been known that bustling cityscapes-and the people who occupy them-benefit from well-designed and maintained parks. Concrete, meet grass. Building, meet tree. The thought alone helps us breathe more deeply. People in the United States have benefited from urban parks since Frederick Law Olmsted, the nation's most famous landscape architect, orchestrated the construction of New York City's Central Park more than a century ago. But there is one benefit, in particular, that is both powerful and underrecognized: green spaces can reduce gun violence.
