By Cu substitution for Mg, the diffraction lines are similar to that of Pb2MgWO6 (PMW), but a small shift of peaks towards small angles is observed. For x = 0.3-0.5, new lines appear due to an unknown phase. The EPR spectrum is due to the Cu2+ ions. Dielectric anomaly at T(c) (38 C) related to the antiferroelectric transition in Pb2MgWO6 is affected by Cu substitution for Mg. T(c) increases linearly with Cu content and transition becomes more diffuse. 4 refs. |
