Standardization of Surface Analysis Method: Standardization of Data Treatment

International joint research aimed at owning jointly spectrum data of surface chemical analysis started taking opportunity of start of Versailles Project (VAMAS Project) on advance materials and standards in 1982. ISO/TC201 SC3)Data Management and Treatment) started in 1992 and results of activity since 1982 were reflected on the activity of this committee. ISO14976 related to data transfer format and ISO14975 related to information formats were enacted by SC3 in 1998 and 2000, respectively. A paper explains features, constitution, examples in description, etc. of both standards. Formats in the standards are being utilized widely. A paper refers to future activity of SC3.
