Zusammenfassung:Case Report A 16-year-old African American female with a psychiatric history, including recurrent moderate major depressive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder with dissociative symptoms, oppositional defiant disorder, and concern for borderline personality disorder was transferred to the university from an outside emergency department after fever of 5 days reaching up to 39.1°C, tachycardia, and blood pressure of 90 s/60 s mmHg. (A) Delayed epicardial enhancement (white arrow) of the mid anterolateral heart indicative of myocarditis seen on gadolinium contrast-enhanced T1 cardiac MRI during follow-up. The presence of delayed epicardial enhancement after 7 months is concerning and provides evidence for a need of caution in this age group.
