Zusammenfassung:	A sol-gel method for the preparation of ZnO-coated TiB2 composite powders, using inexpensive zinc acetate, is described. It yields composite powders of TiB2 particles coated with fine ZnO grains. The composite powders can be hot pressed at relatively low temperature and a 10 vol.%TiB2-ZnO sample shows much better thermoelectric (TE) properties than pure ZnO ceramic.
