Mixing Entropy Difference between Liquid and Crystal of Zr Base Amorphous Alloys
A relation between ΔS and n of bulk Zr base metallic glasses (BMGs) is developed, where ΔS denoted the mixing entropy difference between the liquid and the crystal, n is component number. Zusammenfassung: | A relation between ΔS and n of bulk Zr base metallic glasses (BMGs) is developed, where ΔS denoted the mixing entropy difference between the liquid and the crystal, n is component number. In terms of this relation, n > 4 ‐ 5 does not evidently increases ΔS which is related to the glass forming ability. The results are consistent with the corresponding critical cooling rates coming from the experiments. |
