Zusammenfassung:•Majority of the patients have uncontrolled hypertension and are not taking their medications as prescribed.•Pharmacist-led expert system intervention significantly improved patients' medication adherence and self-perceived knowledge.•Significant improvement in the medication adherence, knowledge of the patients, and BMI is needed to observe a significant impact on blood pressure control.•The other factors that significantly predict blood pressure are physical activity and age.
