Zusammenfassung:Substitution effects on the magnetocaloric effect (MCE) in (La1-x)2/3Ca1/3MnO3 (R = Gd, Dy, Tb, Ce) were studied. It was found that the Curie temperature TC decreases with increasing x, and that the maximum magnetic entropy change *DSM always occurs at x = 0.1 for all rare-earth dopants. The maximum magnetic entropy change =*DSM= for a 15 kOe magnetic field change is 6.06 J/kg K for (La0.9Dy0.1)2/3Ca1/3MnO3 around its Curie temperature (176 K).
