Zusammenfassung: | To avoid the atmospheric pollution, automobile manufacturers are increasingly being subjected to regulations on exhaust controlling measures. In major cities, the NOx.PM method is carried out to reduce the air-borne fine particles from nitrogen oxide, along with increasing the engine efficiency, Hybrid vehicles, fuel cell etc trials. These are among many tasks in regard to recycling of post-scrapped cars. Also, the use of Automobile Shedder Residue (ASR) in bringing down the emission gas to zero, R&D on fuel cells, etc are among the features in the next generation automobiles. As an example of fuel control process in automobiles, the Corporate Fuel Economy (CAFE) control act is in place. The CAFE is being adapted in Japan and Europe as well. When considering automobile greenhouse effect exhaust gases, two categories are considered, one being those produced during manufacture of vehicle, the other after it runs on the roads. The concept of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) covers all such gases from cradle to grave (scrap) stage of vehicles. A pie chart shows that 86% of such gases are produced during running of vehicles. Converting to all aluminum vehicles is another method automobile manufacturers are preoccupied with. The Honda NSX in 1990s incorporated all aluminum body, Honda Insight (hybrid body structure), Audi A8 as shown in numerous photographs are also case in points. In the forged parts or use of high-pressure die casting (HPDC) were all used in producing lightweight vehicles like Honda Insight. The application of Vacural and MFT (minimum fill time process) have been widely used by companies like Nissan Innovative Casting Systems. |
