Zusammenfassung:A completely laser-based procedure for the production of fibre Bragg gratings is demonstrated for the first time, including laser stripping, laser grating inscription, laser annealing and laser-assisted recoating. High reflectivity, stable gratings for telecommunications applications are produced. Future prospects for laser-based production methods are discussed.
