Zusammenfassung:In the SPRITES '97 campaign, two multi-anode array photometers were used to study the spectral characteristics of sprites and elves. The goal was to investigate the spatial and temporal variations of the energy distributions of electrons which excite N2 by collision process based on photometric observation of N2 emission. However, due to the difficulties in the calibration of absolute sensitivity, the present discussion focuses on variations in the relative ratio of the 1st and 2nd positive bands of N2. (AIAA)
