Zusammenfassung: | Monotonic and cyclic stressing are compared on the basis of the statistical theory of flow and strain hardening. The parameters describing yield and strain hardening are shown to be very similar in both cases of stressing. For example, the hardening parameter of cyclic stressing as a function of the instantaneous yield strength reveals a four-stage strain hardening similar to that in monotonic stressing. The results support the idea that the basic factors controlling yielding and strain hardening are more or less the same independent of the mode how the stressing is done. |
