Zusammenfassung:YBCO nanopowder consisting of 1–3 nm thick and 40 nm wide particles has been used to make silver clad superconducting tapes. After annealing in nitrogen at 945 °C for 10 h a critical current of 5.02 A (3300 A/cm 2) was attained. Annealing in mixed atmosphere of oxygen and nitrogen was also carried out and this procedure produced tapes with a critical current of 2.83 A (2200 A/cm 2). These tapes show very good characteristics in magnetic fields.
