Zusammenfassung: | In recent years, in order to increase automotive fuel mileage through the reduction of automotive body weight and the performance of safety in impacts, ultra high-strength steel sheets rather than TS 980 MPa grade steels have been increasingly applied to automotive body parts. This paper surveys TS 980 MPa grade cold-rolled steel sheets and describes a few mechanical properties of the newly developed steel sheets for automotive seats. Due to improvements in the homogeneity of the microstructure, the developed steel sheets have much better bending formability. |
