Zusammenfassung: | Crystalline powders of platinum group metal (Pd or Pt) and aluminum or zirconium were mechanically alloyed by a laboratory ball mill in an inert atmosphere. The progress of the mechanical alloying was indentified by x-ray diffraction. In the Pd-Al system, the formation of intermetallic compound (PdAl) have been recognized at the beginning of milling. In other systems, amorphous alloys were obtained. The crystallization of amorphous alloys was studied by means of x-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis (DTA) and electrical resistivity measurement. |
