Zusammenfassung: | Three wheel flange bursting-incidents with the fourth compressor pan occurred in succession in one year for one type of air engine. Through fracture and stress analysis in this paper, it is concluded that it is high-low cycle complex fatigue that results in wheel flange bursting; the internal reasons are the rather great finish residual tensile stress in the fatigue source and the stress concentration caused by the non-smooth surface of transition; the external reason is the abnormal vibration-resonance while the fourth pan is operating.
