Zusammenfassung:The delayed failure behavior of a normally sintered polycrystalline mullite in flowing slurry was examined with static fatigue tests. A brief discussion was conducted on the experimental data by comparing them with those measured in water. It was concluded that flowing slurry plays an important role in the delayed failure of the present mullite, especially at low applied stress level.
