Direct hydrogenation of Mg and decomposition behavior of the hydride formed
Under the catalytic action of ZrFe 1.4Cr 0.6, magnesium was hydrided into nanostructured MgH 2 and γ-MgH 2 directly by reaction ball-milling. The formation and decomposition behaviors of the hydrided phases were characterized by X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis (TGA and DSC). The hydrided phas...

2 directly by reaction ball-milling. The formation and decomposition behaviors of the hydrided phases were characterized by X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis (TGA and DSC). The hydrided phases thus formed possess excellent dehydriding kinetics. Based on the calculation of local activation energy, the decomposition mechanism of the hydrided phases was probed. |
