Zusammenfassung:North American, Asian and European Cu demand will firm in 2000 and beyond, according to panelists at AMM's Copper Forum. John Gross, president of J.E. Gross & Associates Inc, said that Cu was undergoing greater intensity of use, with gains in housing offsetting losses in long-distance telecommunications. Free-cutting and forging rod and bar, which have averaged 3-4% annual gains since 1993, will equal or slightly surpass 1999's mark, predicted James H. Rourke, group vice president at Mueller Industries Inc.
