Zusammenfassung: | Reports on high-resolution room- and low-temperature photoluminescence measurements of Nd\+3+\- ions in LiNbO\+v\3\-v\:Nd:MgO planar waveguides fabricated by the He\++\- ion implantation technique. Comparison of the bulk and waveguide data reveals only minor changes in the spectroscopic properties of Nd\+3+\- ions in the waveguide.
