Zusammenfassung:When surgery is performed to remove aggressive cancer, the extent of the lesion commands the amount of tissue removed. The removal of extensive tissue such as crucial landmarks complicates prosthesis design. This clinical report describes the prosthetic reconstruction of a patient who underwent tumor resection of the upper lip, anterior portion of the nasal cavity, and cartilaginous portion of the nasal septum, as well as subsequent radiation therapy. The prosthetic rehabilitation consisted of magnetic attachments, eyeglasses, and silicone adhesives. The applied technique effectively covered the site of squamous cell carcinoma removal providing natural color and form.
