Zusammenfassung:The hydroforming technology has gained in importance over the last few years. Today the lightweight construction of automobiles is one of the main fields of application. This paper gives an overview of the fundamental principles of hydroforming processes and their variants. The correlations between the workpiece geometry and the design of tool and process and the forming result are exemplarily illustrated.
