Zusammenfassung:	Considers recent changes in the design of passenger buildings at major airports. The latest designs all involve midfield passenger terminals and this concept is seen as an important trend to meet the needs of the different types of traffic at the airport. The better facilities of tomorrow will be highly flexible for expansion, and for changes in the percentage of transfer passengers. They will also include a range of automated devices for moving passengers around the landside areas. (Original abstract-amended)
