Zusammenfassung:Cavitation wear of gray cast iron, cast iron with globular and cast iron with vermicular graphite was studied. The cavitation tests were conducted under ultrasonic vibration (20.6 KHz) in distilled water. Grey cast iron was least resistant to the cavitation followed by cast iron with nodular graphite, and cast iron with vermicular graphite was the most cavitation resistant. Mechanism of the cavitation wear is discussed.
