Zusammenfassung:In the compression of basal slip metals, brittle fracture or twinning occurs in crystals whose orientations are in the region near the base circle of the unit triangle; twinning or brittle fracture occur in crystals with orientations are close to the 0001 pole of the triangle. Also obtained are the dominant twinning mechanisms in crystals with orientations near the 0001-pole for prismatic slip metals under tensile loading. (AIAA)
