By differential thermal analysis it is shown that the contact melting in the two-component powder mixtures Cu-Ni, Ni-Mn, V-Ti, Al-Si, Ni-C, Ni-Cr, Ni-Re, Ni-Pb, Al-Pb proceeds without exothermic effects while endothermic effects correspond to the phase diagrams of the corresponding systems. Under heating the surface layer interdiffusion saturation occurs for compounds, when interacting to equilibrium concentrations providing the melting by eutectic, peritectic, monotectic and other reactions at equilibrium temperatures.
