Zusammenfassung:Due to the pathology of acute type A aortic dissection (AAD), including fragile dissected aortic wall and visceral malperfusions, surgical procedures are still in development. This commentary is a review of a report by Bin and Yang et al. published in the Journal of Cardiac Surgery that reported similar effectiveness of the open triple‐branched stent graft for acute type AAD and total arch replacement with the frozen elephant trunk technique.
