Microwave characteristics and J sub(c) distribution of TFA-MOD YBCO film

Zusammenfassung:Metal-organic deposition using trifluoroacetates (TFA-MOD) is a promising growth technique for YBa sub(2)Cu sub(3)O sub(7- delta ) (YBCO) films because of the high critical current density (J sub(c)) and a low cost non-vacuum growth. We measured the film thickness dependence of the 22 GHz surface resistance (R sub(s )), the J sub(c) of the TFA-MOD films, and compared them with those of the pulsed laser deposited (PLD) films. The 13.5 MA/cm super(2) and good uniform distribution of J sub(c) of TFA-MOD YBCO film were obtained in 50 mm disk whole area using the non-contacting inductive method. It was proven that the 13.5 MA /cm super(2) of TFA-MOD YBCO film agrees with the plotted curve which consists of the J sub(c) data of the PLD films as a function of film thickness. The R sub(s ) = 0.8 m Omega of the TFA-MOD film at 22 GHz was larger than the PLD film double at T = 13 K, because the TFA-MOD film was worse in surface roughness. copyright 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.
