Terpenoids from Litsea lancilimba Merr. and their chemotaxonomic significant

Phytochemical investigation into the fruits of Litsea lancilimba Merr. led to the isolation of eleven compounds, including six sesquiterpenoids (1–6), three monoterpenoids (7–9), and two norisoprenoids (10–11). The occurrence of compounds 2–3, 6–9 in Lauraceae family have been reported for the first...

Zusammenfassung:Phytochemical investigation into the fruits of Litsea lancilimba Merr. led to the isolation of eleven compounds, including six sesquiterpenoids (1–6), three monoterpenoids (7–9), and two norisoprenoids (10–11). The occurrence of compounds 2–3, 6–9 in Lauraceae family have been reported for the first time. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by comprehensive spectral methods, including UV, NMR, CD, optical rotation and other spectroscopy methods. The chemotaxonomic significance of isolated compounds was also elucidated. •Eleven compounds (1–11) were isolated from the dried fruits of Litsea lancilimba Merr..•Seven compounds (2–3, 6–9) are firstly reported in Lauraceae family.•The chemotaxonomic significance of compounds from Litsea lancilimba Merr. was discussed for the first time.
