| Zusammenfassung: | In the past forty years of spot weld testing, the simple shear test of spot welded joints has received considerable attention. In these tests, a lap joint formed by sheet metal joined with a single spot weld is tested by applying axial loads to each sheet. Recently, some investigators have proposed fixtures for combined loading of spot welded coupons. In this article a simple, adjustable fixture for spot weld coupon testing is proposed and produced by the Chrysler Spot Weld and Design Evaluation Committee is described and preliminary results are presented for ultimate strength and fatigue testing of spot welded coupons. |
