Kawasaki Steel Thermoselect waste gasification and melting process

The Thermoselect process, a completely new solid waste treatment process which achieves pollution-free recycling of municipal wastes by gasification melting technology, was developed by the Swiss company Thermoselect S.A. Kawasaki Steel introduced this world's leading technology in 1997, and built a 300 t/d (150 t/d x 2 lines) plant in Chiba Works, Kawasaki Steel. The Chiba Plant was put into operation in September 1999 and has completed demonstration run and treated 15000 t of municipal solid wastes. By using the plant, an industrial waste disposal business started in April 2000.
