Zusammenfassung: | Achieving a correlation between artificial weathering (VA) and natural weathering (VN) of paints is a difficult problem that has occupied the industrial sector for a long time. In particular, this is a concern for anticorrosion paints due to their function of protecting steel. The objective of a weathering cycle is to reach, as fast as possible, the best level of correlation possible. This article will discuss and critically analyze some existing weathering cycles in order to understand their potential interest as well as their limits. A number of cycles will be presented and their characteristics stressed (total duration, number of intermediate handling stages, and cost), taking into account the various climatic parameters and their relevance. |
