Zusammenfassung: | Gavriljuk has discussed two questions regarding the mechanism of the hydrogen-induced internal friction peak in fcc iron-based alloys, referring to our recent paper. The first question concerns the hydrogen concentration dependence of relaxation strength and the second question the comparison of the data for Fe-Ni alloys and austenitic stainless steels. As to the second question, we quite agree with Gavriljuk who has pointed out a striking effect of substitutional solutes on relaxation strength of the hydrogen-induced internal friction peak. Such an effect is not yet explained and remains still open for further studies. A probable explanation should be based on the electronic state as noted in our paper, which includes some magnetic properties as dicussed by Gavriljuk. |
