Zusammenfassung:The coefficient of thermal expansion was accurately determined over a wide range of temperatures from 350-1080K for mechanically alloyed quasicrystals. The relaxation of phason-type quasilattice defects contributes into the value of thermal expansion coefficient under heating, while its value for annealed quasicrystals during subsequent cooling is in good agreement with that determined for perfect quasicrystals.
