Synthesis of amorphous Fe2O3 nanoparticles by microwave irradiation
Amorphous Fe2O3 nanoparticles of about 3-5 nm in size were synthesised by microwave irradiation heating of an aqueous solution, containing ferric chloride, polyethylene glycol-2000 and urea. The Fe2O3 nanoparticles were characterised using TEM, XRD, DSC, TGA and magnetisation measurements. 23 refs.
