Zusammenfassung:Retrieved tibial plates were compared with respect to changes in UHMWPE caused by friction and wearing between a combination with alumina and that with Co-Cr-Mo alloy. The wearing patterns were different and the surface of the latter combination showed more remarkable changes. The alumina surface of femoral condyles showed very slight changes while the Co-Cr-Mo alloy surface had scratches.
