Zusammenfassung: | Magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) of BCC Fe is calculated beyond the visible-light energy up to 27 eV by means of the full-potential linear augmented plane wave (FLAPW) method within the local spin-density approximation. Calculated MOKE spectra are in good agreement especially for the high-energy region with recently reported experimental results, which have shown a qualitative discrepancy with previous augmented-spherical-wave results. A new peak in the MOKE spectra is found around 18 eV. Convergence properties of several parameters included in our FLAPW scheme are also studied. |
