Effect of rolling at elevated temperatures on the properties of a titanium-aluminium composite produced by explosion welding

Zusammenfassung: | In this work, investigations were carried out into processes of deformation and hardening in rolling the VT1-0 titanium-AD1 aluminium-AMg6 aluminum alloy three-layer composite produced by explosion welding. The rolling temperature was 450 deg C. The optimum welding conditions (v sub w =450-470 m/sec, v sub k =2000-2150 m/sec) result in tensile tests in stable failure of the composite specimens through the component with the lowest strength (i.e. AD1 Al) at stresses of 8.5-10 MPa. |
