Zusammenfassung: | Films with a water contact angle higher than 150 deg (i.e., with a super-hydrophobic surface) are currently a subject of great interest and enthusiastic study. The small contact area between water and the solid surface is expected to inhibit various phenomena on the surface such as friction drag and the adherence of water and snow. However, the effect of roughness on a solid surface is not limited to the enhancement of hydrophobicity. By deliberately introducing a proper roughness, a solid material can acquire additional functions. With the suitable repetition of a one-dimensional groove structure on the surface of a transparent film material, the brightness of light transmitted can be enhanced in a specific direction. In the present study, we prepared a superhydrophobic polymer film with a brightness enhancement property by combining roughness dimensions. |
