Zusammenfassung:The doping of strontium hexaferrite by europium and lanthanum was achieved by the following methods: (1) calcination of SrCO3, alpha-Fe2O3 and either La2O3 or Eu2O3 at 1250 C, (2) calcination at 925 C of precipitates obtained from solutions of SrCl2.6H2O, FeCl3.6H2O, and either LaCl3.7H2O or EuCl3.6H2O, and (3) hydrothermal treatment at 220 C of solutions of Sr(NO3)2, Fe(NO3)3.9H2O, and either La(NO3)3.6H2O or Eu(NO3)3.5H2O. The products were characterised by X-ray powder diffraction, X-ray absorption fine structure, Mossbauer spectroscopy, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. 17 refs.
