Zusammenfassung:Transitions of a hole between heavy, light and spin-orbit split-off valence subbands induced by an ultrashort and intense infrared (IR) light pulse are analyzed. The dynamics of hole intervalence transitions is treated very generally: the band nonparabolicity is included fully and the transitions are calculated without using multiphoton perturbation theory. Examples of ultrafast heavy hole transfer to either light or split-off subband, or to the both subbands simultaneusly are presented for p-type InP under π-pulse excitation.
