Zusammenfassung:ZrO 2-deficient compositions of NASICON (Na 1+ x Zr 2− x/3 Si x P 3− x O 12−2 x/3 where 0⩽ x⩽3) have been prepared in glassy form (sodium superionic conducting glass (NASIGLAS)) using the melt quench method. The corresponding glass-ceramics have also been produced by heat treatment at appropriate temperatures identified from DTA. From 29 Si MAS NMR , it is found that [SiO 4] tetrahedra are predominantly Q 2 species for composition x=3.0, but are mixed Q 2–Q 3 for x
