Zusammenfassung:A generalized two-member open frame structure is modelled using Euler–Bernoulli beam theory. The generalization is approached in two ways: an arbitrary angle between the beams; and the attachment of a payload at the end of the second beam. The linearized equations of motion are derived using Hamilton's principle and the general frequency equation, mode shapes and orthogonality condition are presented along with some numerical examples.
