Zusammenfassung: | The aim of this work was the development of a strong metal-ceramic bond. To reach this goal, the interaction between nickel and three non-oxide ceramics (titanium nitride, titanium diboride, TiN-TiB2 composite materials) was investigated. The dense ceramics were produced by HIP. The ceramic-metal bondings were studied in an argon atmosphere up to 1773 K, by making use of the sessile drop method. According to the nature of the ceramic materials, the formation of a liquid phase occurs at different temperatures. The first set, which consists of TiN and Ni, is unreactive but the results on the titanium diboride-nickel system have shown, at a temperature of 1483 K, the formation of a Ti2O3 gangue covering the nickel pin and indicates that a reaction is proceeding at the interface. The eutectic liquid which appears in the system TiB2-Ni leads to a reactive interaction between nickel and TiB2 with formation of both Fe(4.5)Ni(18.5)B6 and Ni3B phases. (Author) |
