Zusammenfassung:In this work, a novel and efficient nanocomposite was prepared using layered double hydroxide (LDH) and a novel polymer, that applied as adsorbent for selective adsorption of methylene blue (MB) from water. The prepared adsorbent was characterized by FTIR, XRD, BET, TGA, EDX, and FESEM techniques. Also, the optimal conditions for adsorption of methylene blue (MB) from water by LDH/Polymer nanocomposite were determined. The LDH/polymer nanocomposite showed an excellent affinity for the removal of MB molecules from water. The adsorption capacity of MB was 574.52 mg/g at pH 11. Also, the maximum adsorption capacity for LDH/Polymer nanocomposite at 35 °C was 1428.57 mg/g and the negative values of ΔG indicate that the adsorption process is spontaneous. Subsequently, recycling studies showed that the LDH/Polymer nanocomposite as an MB adsorbent could be used for four periods without significant reduction in the adsorption capacity. [Display omitted] •Prepared Novel LDH/polymer nanocomposite.•A great adsorption capacity of 1428.57 mg/g was obtained to remove MB by novel LDH/polymer nanocomposite.•LDH/Polymer nanocomposite as an MB adsorbent could be used for five periods without significant reduction in adsorption capacity.
