Homogenization of the magnetic field in the air-gap of a permanent magnet superconductor bearing

This paper presents a way to reduce the nonhomogeneity of the magnetic field leaving a permanent magnet ring composed of several segments with a soft iron layer. This is particularly important for bearings consisting of permanent magnets and superconductors.
