Zusammenfassung:Amplitude-dependent internal friction (ADIF) gives information on interaction of dislocations with the interstitial nitrogen atoms in nitrogen-containing steels. Solid-solution component is dominating in the strengthening mechanism of nitrogen-containing austenitic steels, especially at low temperatures, and, therefore, details of nitrogen interactions with extended dislocations in FCC lattice of austenite deserve further study.
